Trondheim is the third largest city in Norway and
regarded the technology capital. NTNU is the most
renowned university in educating engineers of all kinds
with their master studies in a wide range of areas.
Trondheim is also known for the amazing Nidarosdomen -
the huge cathedral in the center of the city, and in the last
years for Norway’s most exclusive hotel - Britannia. The
city now also have several Michelin star restaurants.
Most of Trondheim center is “fenced in “ by the river
Nidelva, which twist and turn around the city. Many of the
city’s attractions are located by the river, like the old
settlement at Bakklandet with its small and colourful
buildings, the Old City Bridge and Nidarosdomen
cathedral. The huge round building by the river at
Elgesæter is the students building built by the students
themselves almost 100 years ago.
