Flåm is a small village located at the
end of a deep and narrow fjord, in the
shadows of majestic mountains in the
western part of Norway. It is also the
end stop of one of the steepest
standard gauge railway lines in the
world, a major cruise port and close to
the UNESCO World Heritage site
Nærøyfjorden.
When visiting Flåm with a cruise ship,
the cruise companies have their own
list of excursions. Several of them last
the whole day and are rather
expensive. Many of the cruise guests
choose to explore the village on their
own instead.
Without an overview of the many
things to do, it is easy to spend the
day in the local souvenir shops or just
stay put on the ship. Nothing wrong
with that, but Flåm has so much more
to offer. In addition to the amazing
nature and scenery, there are so many
exciting activities to help you
experience this beautiful part of
Norway. CruiseFlam.com has all you
need to get an overview and how to
get the most out of your time here.
