Eidfjord is a major cruise port at the
deep end of Hardangerfjorden.
This small village is the connection
between the fjords and the
Hardangervidda Mountain Plateau.
This means that the area has a lot of
steep mountains and huge waterfalls,
among these the Vøringsfossen
Waterfall, one of the largest in Norway
with a fre fall of 182 meters.
In this section we recommend
attractions both by the
Hardangerfjord and up in the
mountains at Hardangervidda.
On the way to Eidfjord, the cruiseships
follow Hardanger-fjorden, the 5th
longest fjord in the world, almost to
the inner end. The area is known as
one of the most beautiful in Norway,
with all its small villages, fruit farms
and Folgefonna Glacier as a backdrop
